"I have spent the last ten years representing low- and middle-income families, and I have often been frustrated by the lack options for families who need competent representation but cannot afford to pay $300-500 an hour.  I hate seeing families all but bankrupted by litigating every little thing when they should be focusing on the big picture.  That approach causes unnecessary emotional upset and is terribly disruptive for families.

I am committed to providing low hourly rates and reasonable retainers.  In order to do that, I look for clients who want to have the best possible working relationships between former spouses and family members.  I talk to clients about the costs and benefits of various motions and discovery, and provide reduced rates for mediation.  I don’t maintain commercial office space, and I require clients to have access to email or fax to reduce the number of office visits.  And I stick to what I know best – families."    -- Anna Phillips

Initial Consultation:  Initial consultations are always free.

Retainers and Hourly Rate:  Attorney Phillips' base rate is $200 per hour, however, she offers a sliding fee scale to better serve working families, as well as additional discounts for St. Jude and FedEx employees.  Retainers are based on individual assessments of the nature and duration of each clients case, and will be discussed at the initial consultation or shortly thereafter.

Flat Fee Arrangements:  There are currently flat fee plans for uncontested divorces, and hopefully soon there will be flat fee plans for custody and support modification and conservatorship.
